Grading Rubric This grading rubric for the annotated bibliography project is modified from the one provided at collegewriting.us, giving more emphasis on the analysis and offering points for peer review participation and turning in of rough drafts. -- DarcyWebber

Topic suggestions:

Many students complain that the topic of plagiarism is too redundant for the annotations, so an idea is to make the topic match that of a paper they will be doing for the course. For example, my students researched memoirs so that they were prepared right away to write their memoir for Project 1. My students felt this was a good way to learn annotated bibliographies because it was useful for a project, and not extraneous matter.

Also, we now have a Public Writing Online topic for Project 2. The topic of Public Writing Online is a very important one to FYC, and if you were not to choose this topic for Project 2, your students can still benefit from learning the uses, benefits, and dangers of public writing online (social networking, blogging, etc) by researching the topic for their annotations. -- DarcyWebber
